Why do students Procrastinate?

Why do students Procrastinate? Difficulty Concentrating. When you sit at your desk you find yourself daydreaming, staring into space, looking at pictures of your boyfriend/girlfriend, etc., instead of doing the task. Your environment is distracting and noisy. You keep running back and forth for equipment such as pencils, erasers, dictionary, etc. Your desk is cluttered and unorganized and sometimes you sit/lay on your bed to study or do your assignments. You probably notice that all of the examples that you have just read promote time wasting and frustration. I always forget to do my homework or study for tests. I 'am always unorganized and I have adhd which makes it worse.

If I could change education, I would...

If I could change education, I would give every student an Ipad and have all the textbook on an app so everyone does not have to take care of textbook and Is also so much cheaper then buying new textbooks each year and the students will return the Ipad at the end of the year.

I would also put smart boards In every classroom so the lessons will be more interesting and not so boring. So everyone in the class can interact.

I would extend all classes and not have them for only 40 minutes and would only have 5 classes so everyone learns more then cramming everything in there head each day.

Lesson Planning 101

When I'm at my site school with my 1st graders I'm In the classroom  with them for Mathematics.

I can cut out pictures of apples and I can write and say a problem and then have them figure out how many apples are left.

I can write a sentence on the board and pick students to come up to the bored and point out the words that need to be capitolized.

I can put the days of the weeks on notecards and mix them up and have the students put them in order.
